So everybody knows Google. Even my dad uses google, which is saying a lot. But apparently the rumor mill is going nuts around them recently. They are acquiring businesses, and making plans for some event(s) that should and probably will revolutionize how we do….something. There really aren’t any big announcements from them yet, but there is all sorts of stuff going on.

• One, they recently acquired Meetro, which is kind of a mapped Instant Messaging program. So, the rumor is that maybe they will make it able to use Google Maps to get information about users through instant messaging and make it a possibility for you to be online talking about something and be able to find someone near you that has the same interests. Pretty neat stuff, check it out here.
• Two, there is apparently a deal underway to use Google with iTunes. What this means? No idea, but the rumors abound about this one as well. So you can read it here.
• And Third, Google is looking around for lots and lots of bandwidth. Not just to be able to use, but maybe to be able to distribute. There is the possibility of ad-based Free Wi-Fi, an IPTV network, and a digital video database. So who knows where it will actually go, but it is crazy that they are doing all of this. Who knows, a Google Operating System may not be far off. Anyways, check out that one here.
