Okay, so apparently media is starting to get the hint that we know what we want and we want it now. So there are lots of articles about downloadable content like seeing television shows online before it airs. Plus there are multiple shows that are starting to be only downloadable. It is kind of like IPTV, but not quite. So links abound below
- Jon Stewart is okay with people downloading his show.
- The new show Reunion that aired on FOX last night is available for download for thos who missed it.
- Adult Swim shows will be able to be watched on the computer on Friday Nights for those of you who watch the filth..*cough* *cough*
- Digital Life TV is doing quite well online. It is a live show that you can watch online. But for those whose schedule it doesn’t fit into, it is also downloadable after the fact.
- Watch Supernatural online before it premieres on the WB on September 13th.
- PBS has launched a downloadable tech show called NerdTV.
- My favorite podcast, This Week In Tech, has a video version this week that is downloadable via BitTorrent.
- Another one of my favorite podcasts has a downloadable video version every week that you can download with or without BitTorrent.
- And last, a Korean electronics company has made a box so you can watch all of these shows on your TV instead of your computer screen. Looks pretty slick, but don’t know a price.
