I don’t know how many of you watched the game between USC and Oklahoma last night. It was alot of fun watching USC route the Sooners. Although it was boring as sports goes because it was a route. There was no excitement because after the first quarter you knew who was going home with the trophy. So halfway through the second quarter I remembered who was doing the halftime show and it was not the show I was hoping for. Trace Adkins, Ashlee Simpson, and Kelly Clarkson did not do the job I thought they would. The mix was terrible so you couldn’t hear the singers when they were singing. During Kelly Clarkson’s song you could hear her background singer a lot louder than you could the person that was supposed to be singing the melody of the song. That was terrible. Kelly Clarkson sounded good though, when you could hear her. She was by far the best of the bunch. I almost fell asleep during Trace Adkins’ song and could not wait for him to get off of the stage. Again, the mix was terrible so I couldn’t wait for it to be over. And then there is Ashlee Simpson. I will say that her album is great. I am pretty sure she didn’t write hardly any of the songs, but it is good nonetheless. Her song was terrible all around. She was singing, and had her backup track going which she couldn’t stay with so it was very rushed. Then she tried to perform for the whole stadium which didn’t take too great to her performance as you could tell by the chorus of boos that resounded throughout the stadium as soon as she got done. I felt sorry for them though, because that was just humiliating, and what could have been a good marketing move turned into a terrible experience. I just hope that nothing like that ever happens to me when I make it big. 🙂
