The Lake House is good?

Yesterday, I was listening to Love 89 in the morning and they started talking movies. They had a couple of guys on there that aren’t normally on the morning show, and one was an intern who is their resident film critic. He was talking about what he saw over the weekend and he said that he saw The Lake House and was completely floored because it was really good. Now, that isn’t really a surprise, is it? Well, here is the deal. It is a love story, and it seems that it actually appeals more to guys than to girls because of the supernatural effect of the 2 years separation between the two major leads. The reason I say this is because Sarah, along with a few other girls that I have talked to, have no interest in this film. And apparently it is getting bad reviews from Rotten Tomatoes with only a 34% rating. So, it is a love story that doesn’t appeal to girls? That is kind of strange, right? Well, then I hear another review online through the Weekly Blend audio show where Rafe said it was amazing and he bawled his eyes out to it, but the girl who actually did the review for the site only gave it a 2 and a half out of 5. So I am a little bit puzzled. Is this movie good? Will I like it? Should I see it or not? Has anyone out there seen this movie? I just kind of want to know if this is good and whether I should have any expectations at all going into this film. Just leave me a comment and let me know.
