I know I have been slacking, but here is a good few things that I thought were really cool.
1. Ryan Reynolds (Van Wilder, Blade: Trinity) said that he would be the Flash in a movie of same name if it gets green lighted. I like it. He has the mouth for it, but I don’t know if this would cut out the possibility of him being Deadpool or not. I am hoping he still takes that spot, because in my eyes, he is Deadpool.
2. X-men 3 has now put out word on some of the characters that will be in the film. It is confirmed that Beast and Gambit will be in it, Angel is still kind of flaky, but is looking good and might be a woman. Fans of the comics knows this isn’t correct, but if done correctly could be a really good change. Not only will the Phoenix be a major player in the next X-men, but Sentinels as well. Very cool stuff there. James Marsden (Cyclops) has said he wants in for the third installment of the series as there was speculation of him passing on it as he will be Lois Lane’s love interest in the next Superman movie. So there will be no change in casting for his role (a la Darrin Stevens).
3. I a lot of people who didn’t like the movie, but they are putting out a Punisher sequel. I think this is good. It is really better to look at this as an action movie instead of a comic book movie, but it comes from comics, so it is in essence still a comic film. The script isn’t finished for it, but it looks like Jigsaw will be the villain, which could be cool.

4. Jessica Biel is being talked about for the role of Wonder Woman. I know she would do a good job, and she has the frame that I would imagine Wonder Woman would have to have. She is fitting for the role.

**UPDATE** This just came out today, but Thomas Hayden Church of Wings and Sideways fame has been cast as the villain for Spider-man 3. It is still speculation as to what villain he will be playing, but he has definitely been cast. I keep hoping for Venom as he was one of the best comic book villains, but I don’t see Church playing that. Maybe Sandman, Electro, or Kraven. Those would fit him a little bit better, even if they aren’t as good of characters.
