Apple in talks to introduce videos to iTunes

Version of iPod that plays video may be unveiled by September. The article talks about the fact that they may be in talks to get rights to sitcoms and tv shows to license through iTunes. I think this is the best idea since you are more likely to watch an episode of Friends on a small screen than Lord of the Rings. There is also the speculation that they might put a bigger screen on the new ones for video to accomodate the video stuff. What I think would be a good idea would be to put a touch screen on the whole front. Get rid of the scroll wheel and make the whole thing touch sensitive so that when you are watching a video on it, then you could turn it on its side and watch it widescreen. I know they didn’t ask me, but that is my thought on it.
