Get used to the glasses

Well, I have worn contacts for 12 years now, and wore glasses the 4 years previous. I must say, I hate glasses. You have no peripheral vision, and after you have gotten used to contacts, they kind of make you a little seasick. But for the next 2 weeks I have to get used to the glasses again. In late October/Early November I am going to have Lasik surgery so that I don’t have to wear either. But so that my eyes can heal from all of the wear and tear of contacts, I have to go back to glasses. And then before the actual surgery I have to do it again. It stinks, I hate glasses, but it will be much better in the long run to get this done so that I don’t have to deal with contacts or glasses. I want to be able to wake up in the middle of the night and see the alarm clock and open my eyes under water and be able to tell what is going on. All of those things that people with good vision take for granted. It will be nice when it’s done, but right now, I simply hate my glasses.
