Media Man
So a few weeks ago, I put up a review of a DVD collection organization program named Movie Track. Well, I have found another program that you might like even better. This one makes an index of CD’s, books, DVD’s games, software and VHS tapes. It is really nice. It gets all of its information from Amazon.com. So anything that is in the Amazon database can be added and indexed correctly. And if it isn’t, then it has the option where you can manually insert the information. Media Man’s only draw back is that in the vein of movie indexing, it only takes the information from Amazon, meaning that it doesn’t get the whole list of actors like the Movie Track program does from IMDB. Also, with Media Man, you can simply scan the barcode into your web cam and it will find the ISBN in the Amazon Database. How cool is that? I liked it. Below is a screenshot of what the database looks like when you get your information entered in.
I like it a lot, and am trying to decide which program I like better. We will just have to see how it works out. This one is more versatile, but the other is more centered for movie indexing. Try them both, and see which you like.
