Foothills Cinema is dead to me

I have written before about how bad Carmike Cinemas are in general, but more that Foothills Cinema is the worst. Well, I will not go to that place again until something drastically changes. It is terrible. Last night, I went to see Serenity, one of the movies I have looked forward to the most this year. Instead of going in and enjoying the movie like I should be able to do, I came in and watched the previews like normal. That’s cool, that’s fine. But after that, things went badly. Between the last two previews, the screen goes black, the lights go up, and the preview is barely audible. Not only that, but it stays this way to about 2 minutes into the movie. So after someone goes out to talk to the manager about it, he comes in and apologizes and says that it will be about 5 -10 minutes before we get to see the movie because he has to go rewind the reel. So 20 minutes later, the movie starts up again. Except that this time, the sound is so quiet that if someone coughs, you can’t hear what is being said on screen. So someone goes back out to tell them, and the movie stops again and 5 minutes later, the movie starts up again. Truthfully, if I hadn’t been so anxious to see this movie, I would have left during the first break. It is frustrating that you pay almost 10 bucks to go be entertained and you get a half an hour of sitting there waiting for them to get their act together. That theater is so terrible. I just wish that another theater would come to town so that there would be an option rather than having to go there for convenience. So I guess from now on, I will go to Knoxville to see the movies I want. Until something drastic changes, Foothills Cinema will no longer take my money.
Amen brother, that place should be razed and rebuilt with new management and new surly teens to work there!
