Saturday night was fun. Glenn and I went to see A History of Violence starring Viggo Mortensen and really enjoyed it. It’s a good film. Here is my into sheet below.
Tom Stall is your everyday worker. He does his job, loves his family
and pays his taxes just like every other American. But after he gets
into a situation at his work that makes him save the lives of the
people around him by killing two gangsters, he finds himself being
questioned by a group of mobsters as to who he really is. He says he is
the man who has lived with his wife for the past 20 years, and they say
he is the man who took their boss’ eye. So the question is, who is he?
Viggo Mortensen plays Tom Stall alongside Maria Bello as his wife Edie.
They both do great jobs with this movie and play their parts as well as
is possible. It is an almost flawless film that captivates the audience
and makes for a great movie that I would recommend for those who don’t
mind seeing gory violence, nudity, and don’t mind hearing curse words.
I give A History of Violence an 8 out of 10.

So after we got done there we went to get some food. We headed over to Wasabi for a little japanese steakhouse action. Love that stuff. Unfortunately we were sitting across the way from a few guys who, let me say, were not checking out the waitresses. Instead, the one in the middle kept trying to make eye contact with me. I am so not a fan of that. But the food was good and I just kept my head down the whole time so that it didn’t happen. Then there was the belt buckle of our chef which was the Thundercats symbol. How cool is that? It was a lot of fun, but if someone has ideas on how to put filters on people, let me know. Some of the things that Glenn says scare me. I told him that it might be one of those deals where he needs to say what he is going to say to a friend first and then let them tell him whether it is a good idea to say it. Just a thought.
Dude, you are so slandering me. After all, I’m a Bible teacher, a former youth pastor, and the principal of a Christian school, surely all of this qualifies me as a true pillar of the community and such.
I think you are just making up stuff in your head. I was just trying to keep you away from your own vile thoughts =P Worked n’est pas?
WOW!! It’s always nice to go to a resturant and be noticed…well MOST of the time. Being noticed by males, when you are in fact a male, is usually not my idea of fun. But hey, that’s just me….
