Winter won’t go away

Well, I had hoped that spring was just around the corner, but unfortunately, according to the famous groundhog in Pennsylvania it just is not going to happen. Phil saw his shadow this morning, and ran back into his hole, meaning that there will be 6 more weeks of winter. I guess it might be okay as long as we get some serious snow. I just want one good snow so that there is a chance for chocolate gravy. For those of you who don’t know, chocolate gravy is one of the most beautiful foods ever made. I personally am not a big chocolate fan. I never have been, but chocolate gravy makes me understand why people get so excited about eating chocolate. The Skeenes household had opened my eyes to this wonderful thing about 10 years ago, and my snow days have never been the same. On the days that seemed they couldn’t get any better by getting out of school for snow, they would have a wonderful chocolatey aroma added in by chocolate gravy that Sharon had made. It is a beautiful meal that, even though it sounds gross, is amazing. Everyone should have some of this at some point.

And while I am at it, I just thought I would bring up the lack of Bojangles in our vicinity. People might think these things are unrelated, but they are very related. I am not a big breakfast person. Partially because I would rather sleep than eat as early as breakfast is normally served, but also because I would rather eat fruit or something than most breakfast items. Talking about breakfast food I enjoy made me think of another breakfast indulgence that is great. Bojangles has an item on their menu named the Boberry biscuit, which consists of a blueberry filled biscuit with cream cheese icing on top. For those of you who enjoy blueberry muffins, or don’t, you have no idea the wonderful feeling you get when you bite into a Boberry biscuit. It is almost a feeling of euphoria for the 30 seconds you eat the biscuit. It kills me that the nearest Bojangles is about an hour away in a direction that I do not normally travel. I wish that we had one in our area that we could enjoy the pleasures of the tender chicken, homemade style biscuits, southern sweet tea, tasty rice, spiced fries and the euphoric feeling of Boberry. You may think it is silly, but after not having it for awhile, after you eat there once, you want it more and more. I don’t know if they have the stuff laced with LSD or what, but it is amazing. If anyone has connections to bring them to the Knoxvegas area, I guarantee that the business would thrive. Please, bring Bojangles back to the Knoxville area. There would be a lot of happy people.
